As part of their weekly music sessions, Class 2 has accompanied their singing skills by learning to play a new instrument. During music today, Class 2 played the chime bars. They have played the chime bars in music before, so the session was a perfect opportunity for them to continue to develop their existing skills alongside recapping and expanding on previous learning.
This week, Class 2 also sang The Dinosaur Song. By rehearsing a song, the class were able to learn about another instrument: their own singing voices. This fun and enjoyable song also gave the class the opportunity to practice working together and singing in harmony as a group, which provides a transferable skill that they will able to use in many other aspects of their learning across the curriculum.
