Primary Diversity Day
We started the day by talking about the Islamic festival of Ramadan and what it means to fast. Class One were very fortunate to have two children whose families are currently fasting and they were able to give us some first-hand experiences that themselves and their families have had during this time. The children talked to us about being kind to people if they are tired and hungry and also, how important it is to not waste food and to finish a meal. We also learnt about Eid Al-Fitr, which is the celebration at the end of Ramadan. We made some Henna designs and also created moon and star hanging mobiles.
