Comparing Localities
This week, as part of our Geography topic 'Comparing Localities', Class 2 learnt about the Yorkshire seaside town of Scarborough.
As a local town, many of the children had visited Scarborough with their families and friends. Therefore, it was an ideal coastal location for the class to discuss.
The children talked about their experiences of visiting Scarborough, and we compared many features of the town to our own locality here in Aberford and the surrounding villages.
This week's Geography sessions provided an ideal opportunity for the children to draw upon their own personal experiences to enhance their learning.
